Asia Hindman

Biography:

Mrs. Hindman grew up in and graduated from Houston County in 2006.  She then attended Austin Peay State University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in History with a concentration in Economics to teach social studies in grades 7-12.  

Mrs. Hindman started her teaching career in Tipton County in 2010, where she stayed for three years.  She then accepted a position at Houston County Middle School, followed by a position at West Creek High School in Clarksville, TN. She spent seven years at West Creek teaching, coaching, and in various leadership roles.  While at West Creek, she also earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Carson Newman University.  

In 2021, Mrs. Hindman accepted a newly created position at Creek Wood High School as a Graduation Coach.  In this role, Mrs. Hindman worked with students and teachers to increase the school graduation rate, increase the percentage of students identified as Ready Graduates, and worked with counselors/social workers to remove barriers that impact each student’s path to graduating.  She will graduate from Arkansas State University in May 2023 with her Ed.S. in Educational Leadership with a focus on Principalship.  

Mrs. Hindman is looking forward to working with the families of the Jo Byrn’s community to help each student achieve academic success.  In her spare time, Mrs. Hindman enjoys attending UT Vols football games, playing coed softball, and spending time with her family and friends

Dr. Hubbell King

Biography:

Dr. King is originally from Goodlettsville, TN and is a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and minor in middle school mathematics. She began her teaching career in Texas teaching 5th and 6th grade math before moving back to Sumner County teaching 8th grade math. In July of 2015, she received her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Union University. Dr. King moved to Dickson County, where she served as an Assistant Principal at Charlotte Middle School and Dickson Middle School. She has also served as the Extended Behavior Services Coordinator in Clarksville-Montgomery County and a numeracy coach in Metro-Nashville Public Schools. In December of 2019, Dr. King earned her Doctorate Degree in Learning Organizations and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University. 

Dr. King currently resides in Clarksville with her three children. She is excited to be a part of such an amazing community and looks forward to embracing the traditions of Jo Byrns.
